Your data

Privacy

We collect as little as we can, we keep it in the UK, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Who controls your data

Royal Platinum Perfumes & Home Fragrances, 52 Spencer Street, Leicester LE2 4DP. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

What we collect and why

  • Order details — name, delivery address, email, phone. Needed to perform the contract and get your parcel to you.
  • Payment confirmation — handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
  • Marketing email — only if you ask for it, or if you have bought from us and we are telling you about similar products. You can stop it in one click, in every message.
  • Site analytics — which pages are visited, where visitors come from, device and approximate location. Kept on our own servers and shared with nobody.
  • Session recordings — to find and fix problems with the shop, we record how visitors use the site: pages viewed, taps, scrolling and what is typed into forms on our pages (passwords are never recorded; card details are entered on our payment provider's page and never reach us). Recordings are kept on our own servers and seen only by our team.
  • Basket reminders — if you enter your email at checkout but do not complete your order, we may send you one reminder about the items left in your bag. Every reminder has a one-click unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Order records for six years, because tax law requires it. Marketing preferences until you withdraw them. Analytics data in aggregate only. Session recordings are deleted after 30 days, except recordings of visits that ended in an order, which are kept with the order record.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site and remember your bag. Anything beyond that only runs if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time.
